MileSpeak Support

Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used to buy. Open MileSpeak, tap a locked lesson or go to Settings > Your plan > See plans, then tap Restore purchases at the bottom of the plans screen. Basic, Premium and Premium Lifetime all restore this way, and Family Sharing members get access too. No MileSpeak account is needed.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone or iPad open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > MileSpeak, or use the "Manage subscription" button in the app. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next renewal. Premium Lifetime is a one-time purchase and never renews. For refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com.

Free: the first 55 lessons of your road trip (Washington and Oregon), SOS phrases and 150 everyday phrases. Lessons you already started or finished in an earlier version stay open.
Basic (yearly): every Essential and Everyday lesson except Airport & Arrival and Slow Listening, plus the full phrasebook.
Premium (yearly) or Premium Lifetime (one-time): everything, including Advanced lessons, Airport & Arrival, and Slow Listening: US Life.

Yes. Lessons and their clear American English audio are downloaded with the app and stored on your device, so you can learn on the bus, at work or on a plane without internet. Some extra daily cover pictures download when you are online; when you are offline the app shows a built-in picture instead. If a line has no sound, make sure your phone is not on silent (iPhone: the side switch) and the volume is up.

Every English line can be translated into 8 languages: Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Portuguese (Brazil) and Russian. The menus can be shown in the same languages or in English. When you are ready, choose English only to hide translations. Change both in Settings in the app.

After your first lesson, MileSpeak offers a daily reminder and lets you pick a time (morning, lunch, evening or any time). To change or turn it off, open Settings in the app. If you chose "Don't Allow" before, turn notifications on in your device settings: Settings > Notifications > MileSpeak.

No. MileSpeak is for listening and repeating at your own pace. You can record yourself and hear your voice next to the model audio. Recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded.

Allow microphone access: Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone > MileSpeak. You can still listen and repeat without recording.

Progress is saved on your device. It stays when you update the app. Deleting the app deletes your progress unless it is restored from your device backup. There is no account, so progress does not sync between devices.

SOS gives you short, clear English phrases for urgent situations. Open SOS and hand your phone to the person helping you, or tap play to let the phone speak. In a life-threatening emergency in the US, call 911.
